    Two Protests March and Make Noise on Juneteenth in Rifle Colorado

    Last Friday marked the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth, the effective end of slavery in the United States. To celebrate the occasion residents from the Colorado River and Roaring Fork Valleys gathered in Rifle Colorado to speak out against police brutality and systemic racism.     On Wednesday, June 24, 350 Colorado hosted a webinar to discuss trends in regenerative agriculture with researchers Nicole Civita of the University of Colorado Boulder and Dr. Dawn Thilmany of Colorado State University.     More than 900,000 Colorado workers soon will have access to a retirement savings plan through their workplace. Senate Bill 200 recently cleared the Colorado Legislature. Kelli Fritts, associate state director of advocacy for AARP Colorado, said the measure will help the state avoid what she called a retirement crisis.

    Garfield County health officials have seen a spike in new cases of COVID-19? in the past week, which could put the County’s variance from the state in jeopardy. The county is now at 244 cases since the pandemic began, with 44 diagnosed between June 8th and the 21st.
